Eli says, "Hi!"

I was trying to get Eli to smile or giggle, but instead he said, "Hi!" I guess that'll have to do for now. Honestly, seven week old kids think they're sooooooo smart!

...just kidding...

Giant Shark

Check out this video that's over on CNN.com. It shows a 15 foot Basking Shark that washed up on shore in NY. According to this link about the sharks, 15 feet is below average size for one of these creatures! Dang! It's a good thing these sharks are filter feeders; can you imagine coming up against any creature in the ocean where 15 feet is below average and was an omnivore?! Creepy. Check out the video below:

Kenzie Cheering part 1

Kenzie is a cheerleader this year. She seems to like it so far; granted she's only had a few practices and they were strictly to prepare for the parade today. This is the first part of their cheer. I was near the end of the parade route but had to run to catch up to them, which is why the video cuts off when it does.

Kenzie Cheering part 2

This is after I caught up to the cheer group; I figured I'd spare you the Blair Witch-style shaky cam. You're welcome.

Kenzie and Eli...Again!!!

This video was taken in the hospital on Friday, when Eli was only two days old. My parents were visiting (you can hear my mom in the background), but for some reason I don't have any video of them with Eli. Oh well. There's plenty of time to shoot video of them with their first grandson.

Eli Laying By Himself!!!

This is something Kenzie never did. Every time you would put her down she would scream and scream and you would ultimately have no choice but pick her up. Eli, though, doesn't seem to mind hanging out by himself from time to time. Good stuff.

Eli Getting Sleepy

I like this video of Eli nodding off. I like that his eyes are open and he looks really alert...until he starts yawning towards the end. Sometimes I like to wonder what he's thinking of.

Mya and Eli

This video is of Mya and Eli. Mya is Eli's cousin, the daughter of Tiffany's sister, Amanda, who unfortunately wasn't able to make it out to Jersey. Her other sister, Samantha, was able to make it, which was cool (she's not in this video, though. I just thought you'd like a little more family background).

Great-grandma Lois and Eli

This video is of Eli and his Great-Grandmother, Lois. Tiffany's uncle, Mike, who is Lois' son, was the last male born to their side of the family until Eli made his grand entrance. Mike is 46 years old. That's quite a long drought not to have any boys born into a family. I'm glad I could help. You're welcome!

Ninnie and Eli

The woman holding Eli in this video is Colleen, Tiffany's mother. Over her shoulder is her mother, Lois. Behind her is our family friend, Linda, and Tiffany is in the bed so, four generations of Tiffany's side of the family represented in this one video! It was really a special day.

Kenzie and Eli

This video was taken at the hospital the day that Eli was born. Kenzie was so happy to finally meet her little brother. It was interesting because for all those months while Eli was inside Tiffany, you could tell that "baby brother" was more of an abstract idea to Kenzie. We weren't too sure she'd be okay not being the absolute center of our attention. It wasn't until she could finally hold him in her arms that it finally settled in that our little family, our very lives, would be forever changed. And I think she's okay with that.

Kenzie at the Circus

This video was taken at the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus in Philadelphia on May 25, 2009. We went to the pre-show and all the clowns and some other performers were doing little warm up shows for the crowds. Kenzie got to go up on stage with one of the clowns and try to toss his hat onto his head...

Was she successful? Watch and find out...
